Support our committee

Being a committee member on Walthamstow Village Residents’ Association is a great way to get involved in the village community, events and projects and make a positive difference to the community and people’s lives.

Following a 2023 rebrand, a new website, electronic payments, many discounts at village shops, bars and restaurants, an increased visibility on Social Media and exclusive member benefits and events offer, we’ve gone from strength to strength. As a result we’ve witnessed a huge increase in membership which has enabled us to fund local projects and initiatives that continue make the village a great place to live, visit and work. 

Due this great success we really need some help in the following particular areas of our work:

Merchandise Lead

  • Merchandise proposals

  • Purchasing

  • Liaising with local suppliers

  • Stock and income analysis

Volunteer Lead

  • Co-ordination of volunteers

  • Volunteer sign ups

  • Street Leaders

  • Celebration events

Membership Lead

  • Membership renewals

  • Membership numbers

  • Membership promotion

Diversity and Inclusion

  • Engaging harder to reach residents

  • Increase V17 diversity

  • Embed inclusive practices
