Where: Village Square at Orford & Eden Roads
What: Meet your neighbours and help beautify the neighbourhood. We pick up litter, remove graffiti, and depending on the season, plant bulbs, cut back hedges, or trim roses
No experience or tools required, everyone’s welcome!
St Mary’s Church Walthamstow
Tower Tours

On Saturday 13th September St Mary's Church Tower will be open to the public as part of the Open House Festival.
Visitors will ascend the tower through the belfry, clock room and on to the roof. Bell ringers will demonstrate the church bells and the clock tower manager will talk about the inner workings of the clock. The roof has remarkable views across East London and beyond.
Tour Times - 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm and a sunset tour at 8pm.
Due to the steep spiral staircase in the tower, the tours are unsuitable for those with mobility issues. The church itself is accessible.
This event is part of the Open House London Festival 2025 in partnership with St Mary’s Church and V17 (Walthamstow Village Resident’s Association).
This is a free event, but tours must be booked in advance.

Walthamstow Village Jumble Trail 2025 is back on Sunday Sept 14th at 12Midday to 4pm organised by V17, the Walthamstow Village Resident’s Association.
Join us for a day of treasure hunting and community fun! The Jumble Trail is a unique event where locals set up stalls outside their homes and sell their pre-loved items. It's a great opportunity to find unique items, grab a bargain, and meet new people.
Expect to find everything from vintage clothing to handmade crafts, books, toys, and more. There's something for everyone at the Jumble Trail, and it's a great way to support local businesses and reduce waste.

Don't miss out on this exciting event in Walthamstow Village! Come along with your family and friends and discover the hidden gems of our community.
FREE to attend, stallholders are asked to purchase tickets for £5 (+ £0.50 ticket admin fee). This goes towards organising and promoting the event as well as raising funds for V17's local improvement works. Stallholders will be listed on our map with an overview of types of items you'll be selling to help shoppers find you easily.

The ceilidh will kick off at Orford House - doors open at 7pm, dancing begins at 7.30pm and finishes at 10.30pm
The ticket price includes a delicious hot dog served up by Walthamstow Dogs.
Come and join us whilst we raise the roof with music, a live band and our very own caller!

Our very popular Village quiz returns for its usual evening of fun on Saturday 29th November at Orford House Social Club at 7.30pm. The ticket price is £15 per person and includes a delicious curry served by Delroy’s Grillhouse.
The quiz master will once again be the fantastic Neil Underwood of Neil’s Big Quiz fame - with great prizes for the winners!
Quiz tables are made up of teams of 10 people so you can either organise your own team or purchase a ticket and we will put the team together for you. Either way it’s a great way to meet your neighbours and make friends.
Additional events are available to V17 members.
These include historical walking tours, exclusive evening talks with our small businesses, and other fun ways to meet and socialise with locals
